I was frigging riveted by the Men’s Finals. Gonzalez was such an entertaining competator, especially when he played the loser that is Lleyton Hewitt, and stared at the ball as it bounced ‘out’. I laughed so very hard.
Disappointing to see Safin leave so early… and Monfils was also very entertaining to watch.
The women’s games had nothing on the men’s. Nowhere near as tense, energetic or exciting.

Loved the mens final disappointed Gonzalez didn’t win…its all becoming very boring with Federer winning everything.
Loved the days when the final wasn’t decided before the event started. Monfils was very exciting but I don’t think his ankles will stand up very long with the treatment he gives them … my god…ankles aren’t supposed to do that.

Oh yes - the Fed meister.. I agree, I agree my friends. It does make it rather disappointing when tennis has become this predicatable. .
I wanted Gonzalez to win fiercely. He deserved to win (somehow). Roger had a pretty cruisy draw, compared to Fernando.. I didn’t expect him to see him beat Nadal actually - so there you go, not everyone is as predicatable as Roger.
It just wasn’t exciting seeing him win the final - I know that I am poo pooing him, but - oh it was a little hard swallowing his emotional fall to the ground after three sets.. maybe Gonzalez gave him a little scare, but I doubt it. I believe that Roger said before the final that he hadn’t ‘really noticed (any evidence) of where Gonza had improved his game. Well I think he must have been lying!
As for the women, I don’t like to rate the mens game as more entertaining, being a woman myself - but I have to. Though I wouldn’t call the last two sets of the mens final that exciting then, really would I? So in that case - with Roger on board - maybe the womens does offer more interest!
Love tennis and think that all access to courts in a country like Australia should be FREE and there should be plenty more courts available to nurture tennis in this country. No offense to the Aust. talent at current - but where are our up and coming tennis champs?
Not everybody can afford an average $15 charge per hour to use public courts - esp. when training to play at such a high level would require alot of regular access to courts.
Now there’s something to consider, I think..

Well who would of thought that Williams would WIN what a joke…. unfit and she wins l could not beleive that, if l was one of the players that played her and lost l would quick only because the would have defiantly been fitter than her, all they had to do was hit the ball side to side and make her ran and they would have one….

But Williams done well got on her it shows that you don’t have to train like a mad women to win
